Have you ever wondered why fake news is spread so quickly? Fake news can be spread by people who post things in certain categories like entertainment and politics. Fake news can usually effect many celebrities, athletes, and politicians. Many people use confirmation bias because they want to believe what they want to be to believe.
In the sports world, many sports reporters spread fake news so that they can make more money. Just recently, many reporters have speculated that Celtics player, Kyrie Irving, is going to be a free agent at the end of this basketball season. In many ways, this would be hard for Kyrie because all of his teammates would think that he wasn’t happy in Boston. This would also be hard for Kyrie because all of the people who follow him on social media will ask why he would be leaving and maybe react in a negative way. This is a major problem because the media is portraying that Kyrie is only wanting the money instead of what is best for his team.
In the future, I think many sports announcers and reporters should watch what they post because it can have an affect on a team or player. This will help with people commenting on the profile on those players or teams.
